    McLean facility — Campus-Wide Common Area Refresh (Floors 1–4)

    Scope of Work


    • Demolition and renovation of corridors, offices, living rooms, main/private dining, bistros, entertainment, and activity rooms.
    • Demolition included plumbing, electrical, flooring, cabinetry/countertops, wallcoverings, toilets, fireplaces/mantels, and DFH.



    New Construction & Systems


    • Architectural: wainscoting at 1st-floor entry foyer and parlor; tambour wood panels at dining room.
    • Millwork: new cabinetry/hardware/solid-surface tops across Floors 1–3; salon cabinetry with SS tops and new salon equipment; targeted rework of existing casework.
    • HVAC: salon mini-split system for independent comfort control.
    • Plumbing: fixture replacements/relocations on Floors 1–3.
    • Electrical: new connections, relocated circuits, and comprehensive lighting refresh.
    • Finishes: paint and wallcoverings throughout; carpet, LVT, and sheet vinyl; ceramic wall tile (Floors 1–3).
    • Food Service: new appliances and equipment on Floors 1 & 3.
    • Specialty: new bathroom accessories; fireplaces with solid-surface surrounds and mantels; new double entry doors.



    Resident-First Protocols


    • Sequenced floor-by-floor phasing; temporary wayfinding and protection for resident mobility devices.
    • Air scrubbers and soft-touch temporary walls to keep spaces dignified during work; daily QC walks by site leadership.
